Curiositas Academic Journal

A student-run journal dedicated to showcasing student work from Austin Community College that demonstrates the curiositas, an intense, almost meddlesome curiosity at the heart of courses dedicated to studying the liberal arts.

Curiositas accepts the types of work below from ACC students.

Academic Essays

(Rhetorical, Referential, & Research)

Artwork

(Paintings, Drawings, Sculptures, & Photography)
*Accompanied by reflection essay

Digital Artifacts

(Podcasts, Videos, & Websites)

Class Projects

(Presentations, Performances, & Multimodal Speeches)

Musical Compositions

(Originals & Classical Productions)
*Accompanied by reflection essay

Submission Guidelines

  • Submit a clean, ungraded, high-resolution copy.
  • Essays: PDF or DOCX
  • Poems and short fiction will be considered only if accompanied by an academic essay.
  • Submit art & music with reflective essay
  • Artwork: JPG or PNG
  • ACC assignments only

 

  • Maximum file size: 256 MB
  • Presentations: PDF or PPTX
  • Submit using our form.
    • Maximum number of files: 2
    • Audio: MP3; Video: MP4
    • Professors may submit student work.

     What to Expect after Submitting 

    Submissions will be reviewed from January through February.
    If your submission is accepted for publication, an editor will be in touch to discuss any changes, edits, or revisions.
